Sunday the Masals slept late -- then got up for breakfast and a day of breakneck sight seeing.
First on the list was a visit to the Impressionist Museum (Musee D'Orsay), a converted railways station that now houses the world's best (by far) collection of Renoir, Manet, Monet, (you get the picture).
Here's a shot of twins and an interloper with the museum in the background. Note the working clocks:
Inside they found the railway station beautifully converted. Here's a shot of two outlaws and a twin:
Next it was off to the Eiffel Tower which put on its best fall colors for their trip. Here's Mary demonstrating them:
We'll post many other Paris fall pictures soon. Luckily the crowds were light and we we're able to make it to the first level observation deck without much of a wait.
Generally the rains held back (although we had to open the umbrellas a few times each day).
Next we took the cruise on the River Seine while Jim photographed everything in sight trying to convince everyone that he was Francis's son.
Then it was off to mass with the Cardinal at Notre Dame Cathedral, a quick subway ride home, and dinner with chickens in a pot (it was the only French restuarant open in Paris on a Sunday night).
