D'orsay can you see?

Saturday, November 20, 1999

Veronica and Joe arrived perfectly on schedule -- and then waited over an hour for their luggage. Despite that, they were none the worse for wear and after a quick lunch (which included Roquefort cheese which you Americans are boycotting in a snit over our not buying your polluted beef) ventured out to the biggest museums: The Musee D'Orsay (famed for the impressionists) and the Louvre (famous for everything else).

Here's some shots:

's that you, Joe?

A statuesque guy.

Here's what the first floor of the Museum D'Orsay looks like. It was a converted train station. The women in front is a well known French fashion model. Eileen made an appearance at the far left of the picture as she was there to check up on her oldest grandson.

Give me a hand

Then it was off to the Louvre for a brief visit (they will return on their weekly pass).

It's obvious that Venus has a problem with her hands; Off camera, Joe is also wearing a brace for an injured tendon but hopefully he will be better off than she. (Where's Phil when we need him). We will keep you abreast of the situation.

The final picture. Two Italians. Nothing to moan about here.

Stay tuned: Carolyn and Paul arrive tomorrow morning!
