Bergamo, Lomardy, Italy -- July 2006 -- What was open (and allowed picture taking) was the basilica of Saint Maria Maggiore. The outside was mostly unfinished except for the entrances (seen here next to the highly ornamented Colleoni Chapel built on the basilica's sacristy.
