Schloss Linderhof -- Visitors pass Flora's pool and climb steps to reach the first terrace where they are greeted by the Naiad fountain which includes a central basin held aloft by these water nymphs. The naiads were fresh water mermaids that needed spring water flowing over them to keep them alive.
