The Greek Revivalist Yorkshire Museum

Sitting in its own 10-acre botanical garden, the Yorkshire Museum is one of the oldest in England, built in 1827 and opened in 1830.  Unfortunately our time in York was too short (and fortunately the weather was too pleasant) to visit inside.  The museum itself contains archeological collections from pre-history through the 16th century.
