 SCHMITT, PIETRINA (NEE POLIZZI) Age 55, September 12, 2001 at her home in Houston, TX. Daughter of Clara and the late Vincent James Polizzi of Livonia, MI.  Survived by her husband of 34 years, Richard, her daughter and son-in-law Maria and Mike Onufrow of Houston, her son Paul Schmitt of Palo Alto, CA, and her sons and daughters-in-law Joseph and Veronica Schmitt of Chicago and John and Francimar Schmitt of Santa Clara, CA. Also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Steve and Janet Polizzi of Livonia, MI and numerous brothers-in-law,  sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Vigil Service Sunday at 7PM and Funeral Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the John Santeiu & Sons Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Road, Garden City, MI 48135.  (Due to the air traffic situation, please call the home at (734) 427-3800 prior to confirm the timing of these services.) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. John Vianney Social Services Ministry, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079-6299 would be appreciated. Internment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Daughter of Clara and the late Vincent James Polizzi of Livonia, MI.  Besides her mother, survived by her husband of 34 years, Richard, her daughter and son-in-law Maria and Mike Onufrow of Houston, her son Paul Schmitt of Palo Alto, CA, and her sons and daughters-in-law Joseph and Veronica Schmitt of Chicago and John and Francimar Schmitt of Santa Clara, CA. A loving wife and mother, Pietrina enjoyed being active in the community through her involvement in the Cabildo Garden Club in West Houston, the Houston Federation of Garden Clubs, the Reach to Recovery cancer support group, and the St. John Vianney Social Services Ministry.  Vigil Service Sunday at 7PM and Funeral Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the John Santeiu & Sons Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Road, Garden City, MI 48135.  (Due to the air traffic situation, please confirm the timing of these services by calling (734) 427-3800 prior to attending these services.)  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. John Vianney Social Services Ministry, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079-6299, would be appreciated.
